    Scenes from a Thursday Afternoon

    After almost 5 months of cold weather, springtime at Lehigh brings back 2 great things to the University Center's (UC) front lawn:

    -the lush green grass: -and the adirondack chairs:

    My favorite outdoor spot was filled with students today as our subtle magnetism to nature and sun brought everyone out of their dorms and libraries to study outdoors. Sadly, most students will be leaving in a little less than a month, so lets hope the coming weeks are more sun than rain.
    In other news, the STEPS Building is coming along quite nicely. Here's what it will look like when it's finished:

    Latif Bolat

    I recently had the opportunity to meet Latif Bolat, a Turkish Mystic and Musician, twice in one day: first in my SMC seminar class of 10 people, where he played some music and spoke to us. The second encounter was at the SMC/Humanities Center sponsored dinner/concert later that night. I highly advise taking a look at his CDs and translations:

    My Favorite Magazine is Dying

    I love WIRED Magazine. Last year, a professor gave me 4 year's of the magazine from the dot-com era, and I am committed to reading every single article.
